Strike is a 25 year old Arabian gelding who has seen and been through a lot in his life. When he was first rescued as a three year old the vet had suggested euthanasia because he was in such poor condition: missing most of his hair, halter grown into his face, very underweight, neglected. Lucky for Strike the lady rescuing him was willing to put the care and work into making him a healthy horse. He not only survived but he became a wonderful kids horse. Many children have won ribbons while riding him. Over the years he has seen many homes and his last “we will keep him forever home” dropped him off at an auction. His original rescuer saved him again and needed a home for him. Strike was surrendered to ALF in May 2016.
