Most of our trusts are agreements made with end-of-life individuals who have animal(s) and want to secure a safe and loving future for their animals.
Many people have animals they cherish but do not have any family or friends willing to take on the care of those animals once the individual has past. A large number of these once loved companions end up being euthanized or dumped at shelters. Over the many years of volunteering in animal rescue, we have seen this outcome happen too many times. It is our hope and purpose to provide people with an alternative ending to their loved companions story. We offer to provide a safe and loving home. Sometimes this means finding a new loving home willing to adopt them. Other times it means Animal Legacy Foundation will look after their animal(s) for the rest of the animal(s) lives at our retreat(a 10 acre farm on Mount Baldy) or in a foster home that is able to provide the animal(s) a home best suited for their needs.
We also have trusts where animals come into our care because of their dire circumstances.
