Animal Legacy Foundation became a Canadian registered charity on August 25, 2017. We have a ten-acre retreat in Oliver, BC, Canada for our long-term resident animals.
The purposes of the Animal Legacy Foundation are as follows:
a) To promote the welfare of animals for the benefit of the public by rescuing stray, abandoned, abused, or surrendered animals: and operating an animal foster and adoption program;
b) To promote the welfare of animals for the benefit of the public by providing medical care to domestic pets and/or stray animals;
c) To receive and maintain a fund or funds and to apply all or part of the principal and income therefrom, from time to time, to qualified donees as defined in subsection 149.1(1) of the Income Tax Act (Canada); and
d) To undertake activities ancillary and incidental to the attainment of above charitable purposes.
